Then changing at Taree for a Busways coach through to Broadmeadow and changing at Broadmeadow to an Opal service to Sydney. Total cost for Seniors card holder is just $7.50. You can travel from anywhere on the North Coast including towns like Byron Bay, Ballina and Lismore. The trip is divided into three sections coach\/train\/coach\/train. The trip can be done Monday to Friday.\n\n\n<h3>Tweed Heads to Casino<\/h3>\n\n\nFirst, <a href=\"https:\/\/transportnsw.info\/tickets-opal\/regional-tickets-fares\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">book online<\/a> or call 13 22 32 to book over the phone. The ticket to purchase is economy class, Tweed Heads to Taree using your Seniors card. The cost will be $2.50. You can pay online or over the phone using your credit or debit card. I always give the NSW Trainlink agent my email address and mobile phone number and receive the ticket on my phone as txt message <strong>and<\/strong> an email.\n\nThe first part of the journey is the NSW TrainLink coach service to Casino, leaving Tweed Heads 05:15. The coach leaves from the bus stop out front of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tweedmall.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tweed Mall<\/a>. Arrival at Casino is 08:09 where the coach will terminate.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/transportnsw.info\/regional-north-coast-line\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Here's the North Coast NSW timetable.<\/a>\n\n\n<h3>Casino to Taree<\/h3>\n\n\nYou'll have an 11-minute wait at Casino, for the Sydney\u00a0bound XPT to arrive and depart at 08:20. The trip to Taree takes 7 hours and 20 minutes, arriving at Taree at 14:41.\n\n\n<h3>Taree to Broadmeadow<\/h3>\n\n\nAlight the train at Taree and there will be a Busways coach waiting out front\u00a0of the station to take you to Broadmeadow. The <a href=\"http:\/\/busways.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Busways<\/a>\u00a0coach departs Taree at 14:50. This is a close connection of only 9 minutes, so you'll need to have your bags ready and be standing near the door when the train arrives Taree. If the train is running late let the conductor know you intend to catch the coach.\n\nYou'll need your Seniors\u00a0card and $2.50 in cash to join the coach and travel down to Broadmeadow. There are no ATM machines at Taree station. So do yourself and the bus driver a favour and have the $2.50 in cash ready, sitting in your pocket or purse.\n\nOn departure from Taree the first stop is Tuncurry then Foster and the run continues down along the coast passing through the Myall Lakes area, arriving in Broadmeadow at 18:20. Here's the <a href=\"http:\/\/busways.com.au\/sites\/default\/files\/timetable\/GreatLakesTT060414pg02.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">timetable for the coach, Taree to Broadmeadow.<\/a>\n\nThe coach timetable is also listed in the NSW TrainLink timetable for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/transportnsw.info\/regional-north-coast-line\">North Coast of NSW.<\/a> You are also able to make a booking on the coach from Taree to Broadmeadow with NSW TrainLink, but be warned that if you do you'll be charged half the adult fare, even with your Seniors card. The only way you can travel for $2.50 is to\u00a0pay the coach driver on the day of travel. Don't worry about the coach being booked out. I travel on the service frequently and the majority of the time I'm the only person who joins at Taree.\n\n\n<h3>Broadmeadow to Sydney<\/h3>\n\n\nArrival at Broadmeadow station is 18:20. You're now back in Opal country again, so don't forget tap on at Broadmeadow station. The Opal service train to Central departs at 18:29. Unfortunately, you&#8217;ll now need to pay the regular fare &#8211; Yikes!
